Lift reimagines the alarm clock as a sculptural object with a purpose beyond pure timekeeping. Designed to live visibly within the room, it turns the act of waking up into something calm, intentional and physical.
Instead of relying on screens, notifications or fixed digital routines, Lift measures a chosen duration of sleep through a mechanical movement. Time becomes visible as a spatial progression, creating a quiet and tangible alternative to the smartphone alarm.
Lift is a statement against the constant presence of digital devices in our most private routines. Sleep should not begin and end with a screen, and waking up should not depend on the same device that carries messages, apps and distractions.
By focusing on sleep duration rather than a fixed wake up time, Lift shifts attention from scheduling to rest. It encourages a more conscious relationship with time and gives the user a simple way to take control of their sleep without digital noise.
The product creates a small ritual before rest. Setting the duration becomes a deliberate gesture, while the visible movement makes the remaining time easy to understand. Lift brings clarity, presence and intention back into the bedroom.
